Digitize India Platform (DIP) is an initiative of the Government of India under the Digital India Programme to provide digitization services for scanned document images or physical documents for any organization. The aim is to digitize and make usable all the existing content in different formats and media, languages, digitize and create data extracts for document management, IT applications and records management.

DIP provides an innovative solution by combining machine intelligence and a cost effective crowd sourcing model. It features a secure and automated platform for processing and extracting relevant data from document images in a format that is usable for meta-data tagging It application processing and analysis.

What are the prerequisites for becoming a Digital Contributor?

Any Indian citizen who fulfills the following prerequisites can become a Digital Contributor

1. Basic computer literacy

2. Aadhaar number (Mandatory)

3. Bank Account linked to your Aadhaar number

4. Access to internet

5. Access to any smart device (like a desktop or laptop, tablet or smart mobile phone)

A Digital Contributor can perform simple data entry tasks on the DIP. For every verified and correct task performed, the contributor will earn reward points. Rewards points can beredeemed into monetary value or donate them to the Digital India initiative.

How to earn money with Digitize India?1. Sign up to become a digital contributor. Fill all the details such as name, gender, DOB, Aadhaar Number (System will validate your Aadhaar number), user name, password, email, phone number etc on sign up form and click on register now button.

2. Log into your account by using your username/email and password. You will be taken to your account dashboard where you will see your work records and the available snippets in the workspace.

3. Complete your Profile by clicking on My account on the right top corner. Incomplete profile may lead to suspension of your account.

4. Complete Bank Profile. If your Aadhaar is already linked to your bank account then click on Check Status button. The system will verify the bank details. Otherwise go to your bank and get your Aadhaar linked to your bank account. Please keep your bank profile information updated, incomplete or inconsistent information may lead to account suspension. 

5. Go to workspace and see if any snippet is available to work on. Your earning is calculated based on the number of correct words you type. You will be assigned one reward point for every character in the correct words. You can redeem every reward point for 2 paisa.

How to redeem your points?

Transaction PIN: Transaction PIN is a 4 digit code you have to insert while redeeming your points. To set it, click on “Transaction Pin” in My Account tab. Click on “Generate OTP”. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Submit OTP. Set a transaction PIN and save it with captcha verification.

Redeem Your Point: Click on “Rewards” in order to redeem your points. Now click on “Redeem Your Points” button at the right side of screen. Insert the number of points you want to redeem, add a remark, insert your wallet pin. Finally click on Submit. You can redeem once in a month and Minimum withdrawal limit is 2500 points.
